Delivering a boat, be it a small sailing vessel or a large commercial vessel is not to be undertaken lightly. Each and every vessel is personally inspected by the Captain and his crew. We do this for 2 reasons, and yes the first one is selfish, it is for our own safety. But if we feel safe then the owner can rest assured that his vessel will arrive safely along with everyone aboard.

Often the delivery of a vessel includes the owner and may also involve some training or instruction. Many captains do not want or are unable to do this. However the team here at Thecaptaincandoit are a little different. We have found that by taking proper care of our clients in the beginning and teaching as we go, that we get repeat business. Our captains and most of our crew are actually qualified and experienced Instructors. We do this to help everyone enjoy our time together on the water. One of my longest established clients is someone whom I taught, along with his wife, to sail many years ago. He still invites me to sail with him on his much larger and more comfortable boat than we used for lessons, and of course he trusts me to move his boat each season, knowing it is good hands.
